‘MUSINGS WITHIN PURA VIDA’ is an invitation to exhale, expand, and express yourself authentically…to slow down, to recenter, and to reconnect….lovingly curated for you to truly reTreat yourself to relax, recharge, and reflect. Our daily schedule will include guided morning yoga and meditation practices and afternoon writing workshops, as well as 2 nutritious locally sourced meals served family style. On two of the 8 days, adventures will be organized for us to explore the surrounding area as a tribe together; The rest of your time is yours to freely do that which will nourish your mind, body, and soul most. This yoga and writing retreat is not about perfecting your downward dog, nor becoming a bestselling author; and no experience is necessary. Come as you are and simply be….leave rested, inspired, with a deeper connection to the musings of your heart, and perhaps your story transformed.

THE LOCATION: Our home for our 8 days of self soothing bliss will be at Cabuya Lodge; a magical little sanctuary just off the main dirt path of the village. It’s lush with thick tropical foliage and abundant with wildlife. There is a high probability of our morning yoga practices taking place to the chorus of howling monkeys and squawking parrots. There is a refreshing pool on site as well as many a tranquil nook to sit with your hearts musings as you breathe it all in deeply. The lodging structures are all hand built with love and locally sourced materials, and they hold a special energy for you to rest deeply in. Nothing is fancy nor luxurious, though you will have hot showers, air conditioning, and a comfortable bed. There is a rustic charm, simplicity, and beauty that is enchanting and nourishing to the soul. It’s truly a special high vibe hidden gem.

The village of Cabuya, Costa Rica is not just a destination; it’s more of portal where you can disconnect from everything and simultaneously reconnect deeply with yourself, everything that truly matters, and the magical flow state of “pure life” It sits at the end of the road on the Nicoya Penninsula, where the jungle meets the pacific ocean. It is a quiet fishing village that embodies a slow, simple, and intentional pace that is authentic to the ‘blue zone” and to the true “pura vida” lifestyle. It is not prestigious, nor touristy, and the roars of howler monkeys replace the night club beats that are prevalent in much of Costa Rica’s coastline towns. There is a cemetery island that you can only walk to at low tide. Whether you are in the mood for thrilling adventures, leisurely strolls on jungle paths, or finding center in a hammock by the sea…..it’s all available with ease and proximity to our retreat center.

INCLUDED IN THE COST OF YOUR RETREAT:

COST: $1500 per person in double occupancy cabin

                  $1600 single private room with shared bath

                  $1750 single private room with private bath

A non refundable $500 deposit is required to secure your spot. The remainder of your retreat cost is due by 8/31/26. Payments can be made through Zelle, Venmo, or check to yogazonia.
